Dr. Elizabeth Hewitt

DPM FACFAS

“I come from a very athletic family where my parents, brother and sister were always playing something. It made me realize how devastating injuries or nagging pain can be to an active person. I chose my career to help people keep doing what they want to do.  I also enjoy making personal connections with my patients. Compassion, empathy and understanding are all necessary to being a good doctor.

“I love what I do, and I care a great deal about the patients I treat. It’s important for me to listen to each patient and learn about their lifestyle as well as their ailment. That way I can formulate a treatment plan tailored to each individual and offer my patients the most advanced treatment options. The greatest accomplishment I can achieve is the quick and full recovery of my patients from their foot and ankle ailments.”

Dr. Elizabeth Hewitt went to Miami University in Oxford Ohio for her undergraduate degree. She earned her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, then performed her residency at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She went on to complete an external fixation fellowship in Milan Italy. She is board certified in forefoot and rearfoot surgery as well as certified in Ankle Replacement Surgery.

She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Hewitt loved practicing in Grove City so much she moved her entire family to the area. She has lived in Grove City with her husband and two small children Jack and Kathryn since 2015.  Dr. Hewitt spends her spare time running, watching OSU basketball games, and travels extensively lecturing on Complex Foot and Ankle Reconstruction around the country.
