Mission Statement
We are a family at Foot and Ankle Physicians of Ohio. We are active in the community enjoy living in and servicing Central Ohio. For that reason we want patients to feel that same level of comfort and respect. Patients can typically expect to be asked to provide insurance cards and photo ids when checking in. Balances are collected at time of service or at follow up. FAPO accepts cash, check and credit card payment. Medical Assistance will assist the physician in obtaining medical history, vitals and radiographs. We like to say if it’s below your knee we treat it! From ingrown toe nails and hammertoes to ankle replacement, fracture care and reconstructive surgery the physicians and staff are well trained and prepared to get you back on your feet.

“My journey in medicine began at a young age when my first cousin was born with Spina Bifida. My many visits to her at Children’s Hospital as well as observing her home care and therapy sparked my interest in the field. My personal volleyball injuries then introduced me to the the specialty of podiatry. I came to realize how vast this specialty is from treating pediatrics to geriatrics and athletic injuries to wound care. My knowledge, compassion and patience have fostered my ability to treat my patients foot and ankle ailments, returning them to the lifestyle they attain.”
Dr. Macaira Dyment earned her Bachelor of Science from Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio. She then went on to become a Research Associate at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center Division of Cardiology. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland Ohio. She then completed her residency training at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery as well as the American Board Of Podiatric Medicine.
She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association.
Beyond her patient responsibilities, she enjoys spinning, boating and spending time with her husband Mark and two small children.
Anastasia Koss, D.P.M. graduated with degrees in Medical Technology (B.S.) and Russian Literature (B.A.) from the Ohio State University, before attending Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine (Kent, OH), where she earned her doctorate of podiatric medicine (DPM).
Dr. Koss has completed her residency (PMSR 36) at Dayton Veterans Affairs Medical Center and is certified in Rearfoot and Reconstructive Surgery. She is currently the Central Academy Trustee for the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association, represents the state of Ohio as Trustee for APMA, and has extensive training in reconstructive surgery (including external fixation and orthoplastic techniques for muscle flaps). Her research interests include diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Melissa Foster grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology Honors & Chemistry. While at the University of Illinois she worked in a research lab and volunteered at a local hospital which sparked her interest in medicine.
Dr. Foster received her doctorate degree at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University where she graduated at the top of her class. Dr. Foster then completed her Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency with the added credential in Rearfoot/Ankle surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, MA. During this time, she served as Chief Resident in her final year of training and also served as a Clinical Instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine and Boston University School of Medicine.

We can evaluate and treat everything from fractures and sport injuries to arthritis, foot and ankle deformities, diabetic foot wounds and skin conditions, all in one day! I enjoy getting to know my patients on a personal level and helping them get back to their activities.”
Dr. Foster is board qualified in Foot Surgery as well as Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. In her free time she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, baking, listening to country music, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.
Dr. Gina Palazzi is a native of Northeast PA and attended Susquehanna University for her undergraduate degree, majoring in Biology with a Healthcare Studies Minor. While at Susquehanna University, she played both collegiate basketball and field hockey.
Dr. Palazzi went on to receive her Masters from the University of Miami, where she shadowed the team podiatrist for the Miami Heat. At this time, she quickly decided upon attending podiatry school, graduating from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, FL. She then returned home to Scranton, PA for her residency at Geisinger Community Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Palazzi’s favorite part of podiatry is the diversity of the profession. She enjoys the complexity of trauma and deformity correction cases – anything that poses as a unique challenge that can help get a patient back on their feet!
In her spare time, Dr. Palazzi competes as an amateur Wellness NPC Bodybuilder and enjoys all things fitness! She also loves to read, listen to podcasts, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
